Sunrise and Moonlight on the Lake

Here are a couple of photos of Lake Pend Oreille taken during our summer 2014 trip to Idaho.

Both photos were taken with a Canon EOS 10D and processed through Lightroom.

The top photo was taken during a sunrise and the bottom photo during the August full moon.

a few car shows

Summers in the Pacific Northwest are great for a number of reasons, including the car shows.

One of the bigger events of the summer in the Puget Sound area is the Good Guys show, which is held at the Puyallup Fairgrounds in Puyallup, WA.

There are other shows in the area throughout the year, sponsored and held at regional events, 4th of July festivals, car clubs and the like.

Tacoma, WA is now the proud home of LeMay - America's Car Museum. It is a spectacular facility and rotates different displays through during the year. The LeMay now plays host to the annual Kirkland Concours d'Elegance, which is held every September.

Pic of the Day

Pixlr recently selected one of my photos as the "Pic of the Day" for their blog. 

I took my original photo of a mountain peak in Snoqualmie Pass (located in the State of Washington) and edited it using Pixlr-o-matic, before sharing it to Instagram.

Skeeter Barn Farms

"Coboss. It's a straw man of a story..." takes place at Skeeter Barn Farms, which is just a short cattle drive from Radio Mountain, using the cow pool lanes.

In addition to authoring and self-publishing this original short story, I've enjoyed the creative process of developing the social media and web presence for the Coboss Media Group.

Kicking around ideas:

★ Creating a 30-second trailer highlighting the appeal of the story-line, theme, location and characters

★ Exploring the adapted screenplay potential as a feature-length CGI or animated film

Here's the pitch to the big movie production company:

Piering into the Summer

A couple of weekends ago my wife and I met some friends for dinner at a place called The Scotch and Vine. Cool spot! As the name implies, there are many wine and Scotch choices, to go along with the good food. 

After dinner we decided to make the short drive to the waterfront in Des Moines (just south of Seattle) to check out the sunset at the pier.

In the home stretch! I've had the braces on for a little over a year now. Looking forward to the final results. Have been very happy with my orthodontist.
