hot rod sled
Holiday Hot Rod
by J.M. Franklin
An ancient custom metallic red sled. Thirty-two hooves pull it ahead. One night
in December this machine always flies, guided by stars as it cruises the sky.
Like sure footed cheetahs flying a fleet, these star-bound reindeer have never been beat. With a quick dash of nitrous, it soars to new heights, a silver red rocket, the sled blasts through the night.
At the end of the run the job is complete; suddenly lighter with an empty back seat! Back to the shop for a tweak and a tune, the hot rod sled is on jacks until June.
The master mechanic with the snowy white beard has more horsepower in mind as next Christmas draws near.
