Piering into the Summer

A couple of weekends ago my wife and I met some friends for dinner at a place called The Scotch and Vine. Cool spot! As the name implies, there are many wine and Scotch choices, to go along with the good food. 

After dinner we decided to make the short drive to the waterfront in Des Moines (just south of Seattle) to check out the sunset at the pier.

It must be football season because our pantry is stocked with homemade salsa. This is a new recipe that my wife recently tried and the results are terrific.
